My Path to Network Marketing Training and Mentoring

9 years ago I never would have thought that I would be running a blog dedicated to network marketing training. It is very hard for me to believe that I started my online income journey in 2002. Throughout the course of the past 9 years I have been completely broke (twice). I have sold my personal belongings online so that I could pay my bills and I have used just about every method possible to make extra income online. Now, I own my life and through coaching and network marketing training I teach others to do the same. I have reached the Director level in my primary business and my business is growing daily!

Life is short, ENJOY IT! My personal mission is to positively inspire and impact as many lives as possible.

I joined my first network marketing company in 2001 after being sold the “dream” of mlm success. Unfortunately, (as you will learn below) that “dream” was short lived. It was during this time that I also started selling things on eBay just to keep the lights on.

The Early Years- Network Marketing Training

In the early days of my network marketing training my upline told me that all I had to do was, “sponsor 2, who would sponsor 2, who would sponsor 2.”

My “Network Marketing Training” consisted of the following:

- Build a list of all my friends and family members.

- Sell the opportunity and the incredible products.

- After your “warm leads” dry up walk around malls and talk to strangers.

First of all, my friends and family members wanted nothing to do with my “amazing opportunity.” They did not care about the wonderful company or the incredible products. Three days after starting my network marketing journey my warm leads list was completely drained.

Next, I started wondering around Walmart looking for prospects. Talk about a shameless way to try and build a business! Honestly, I am shocked that I was never punched in the face. I can clearly remember driving home one night crying my eyes out because I was failing so miserably at building a business. Was my upline lying to me? I was doing everything that she told me to do.

I studied the company day and night and I listened to all of the network marketing training CD’s. What was I doing wrong? I followed every step in the network marketing training. After being mentally and physically deflated I threw in the towel and called it quits. I had fallen flat on my face at my first attempt to achieve mlm success.

Up until 2009 I continued selling as a Gold Powerseller on eBay while working as Sales Manager in corporate America. It was during this time that I started looking at other methods to build online income.

A New Network Marketing Training Philosophy!

In 2009 I started dabbling with Internet, CPA, PPC, and Affiliate marketing. Although I enjoyed all of these online strategies I struggled duplicating the income that I experienced with eBay. One night while searching online for residual income tips I stumbled across an article that discussed attraction marketing.

Attraction marketing is a fairly new philosophy that go completely against the “old school” ways of network marketing training. With attraction marketing you can say “farewell’ to harassing your friends and family members. Quit wondering around malls and say “good-riddance” to selling your product your opportunity. You can build an online mlm business with the power of social networking and the internet!

It was not until I suffered a mini-stroke in mid-2011 (at the age of 31) that I realized that there is more to life than a 9-5 job. After leaving the hospital I went full throttle on my online network marketing business. I applied all of the attraction and network marketing training methods that I had learned and on September 2nd, 2011 I left corporate America and went full-time online!

I created this blog as a resource for those that are struggling to achieve mlm success. Unfortunately, the network marketing training that you are currently receiving is outdated. You can still build a business this way but it will be a very long time before you are able to see the results that you want.
