SURPRISE!  95% Failure Rate – Network Marketing Training

What shouldn’t be a surprise is that the network marketing industry is currently seeing hyper-growth!  There are millions of people out of work that are trying to figure out what their “plan B” is and this industry is a wonderful place for people to turn to if they want to start their own business with little out of pocket expenses.

Unfortunately, if 1,000,000 people join the industry in 2012 only 50,000 will come out victorious.  There are several factors for these numbers but I think the biggest is the lack of “new school” network marketing training.

“Old School” Vs “New School” Network Marketing Training

Old School – Network Marketing Training

I joined this industry over 10 years ago at the age of 21.  When I joined, my upline sponsor told me to sit down and write down every single name of someone that my wife and I knew.  This included friends, family members, co-workers, doctors, the neighbors dog and my aunt’s goldfish.  My upline was incredibly successful (she showed me her paychecks) so I went along with it.  Once we had our list we started pounding the phones!

“Hey Mike, I just started my own home based business and I KNOW it is something that you would be interested in!  Fortunately for you, we have a meeting on Tuesday night at the Holiday Inn to show you the business model and just how EASY it is to start your own business.  So I’ll see you there, right?”

It was amazing to see how many people would say, “Yes, I will be there!” and then would never show up.  “Where were you Mike?”  I heard some of the best excuses ever when I was trying to build my business this way.  Dog got sick, kitchen caught on fire, basement flooded, car broke down…I heard it all!  The people that did show up to my meetings were simply there because they were good friends and wanted to make me feel good about myself.

In addition to hosting home and hotel meetings I also spent many night wondering around the local WalMart.  I am still shocked to this day that I didn’t get punched in the face!  I can clearly remember driving around in my car crying my eyes out because nobody wanted to join my business.  What was I doing wrong?

New School – Network Marketing Training

As I sure you have probably figured out I was not very successful at building my business using the old school methods.  I worked my butt off for 16 months, spent thousands of dollars on products and training materials and sponsored a total of (drum roll please)…..ZERO people into my business.  Needless to say, I felt like a complete failure and I quit the industry.   At the time, I never thought I would join this industry again.

It was not until early 2011 that I stumbled across some new network marketing training and finally realized that anyone can be successful in this industry if they know how to market themselves using the internet.  The philosophy was fairly simple.  It is called Attraction Marketing and the idea is to attract individuals from all over the web that are looking to start (or grow) their mlm businesses.

Needless to say, after applying the methodology and philosophy of this new network marketing training to my new business I started seeing tremendous results.  Currently, my business organization is close to surpassing 200 individuals!  On top of that, I have built up 12 other income streams to fund other areas of my business operations.

Final Thoughts

If you are struggling to get your business off the ground you need to start applying online marketing methods to your business.  Learn the technique and grow your business using the power of the internet.  Yes, you still can build a business using the “old school” methods but why waste your time?  There are millions of people searching the web every single day for leaders in this industry.  Position yourself as a leader and start helping others all of the world withe the businesses!

As more and more network marketers start to realize that you can successfully build a business using the power of the internet you can bet that the 95% failure rate will continue to drop.
